Gay Couple are Having Three Babies in Just Seven Months with Three Different Surrogate Women
A gay couple have presented their delight and disbelief at becoming the prospective fathers of three babies simultaneously in an incredible world first.
Daryl Lee, 41, a medical professional, is the biological father of a boy and a girl and Luke Harris, being at his fifties, a computer programmer, provided the sperm for the third. All three babies will be born in the coming seven months.
For the past 15 years, the couple had dreamt of having children. “Our home felt empty without children.” Mr. Harris said. They joined several surrogacy websites and forums in an attempt to find a suitable surrogate, and made contact with one of the women, Becky Harris, 27, and through her met Bex Harris, 32, and Viktoria Ellis, 32. They tried for children with the three surrogate women, and were shocked when all fell pregnant. “It was very much like dating,” Luke added.
The computer programmer also said, “We never imagined in our wildest dreams we would have three all at once. Sometimes life works out in unexpected ways.” The couple said their families were happy for them, and were expanding their three-bedroom home with extra bathrooms and bedrooms in preparation for the new arrivals.
The mothers also delivered willingness to help the couple become parents. “None of us can think of two people more deserving of the joy of fatherhood,” said Becky.
